Best known for her work on the hit HBO series Entourage, Cassidy Lehrman plays the young Jeannette Rankin in the film A Single Woman.
When she was 12 and living in a remote town on the western slope of the Colorado Rockies, Cassidy Lehrman announced to her parents she was going to be an actress and was ready to start right away. Her parents were at a loss and had no idea what to do, living as they were in that small town of 1500 (no traffic lights, Wal-Marts, or fast food). But remarkably, within 2 weeks Cassidy got the lead in the musical version of "The Secret Garden" two hours away in Glenwood Springs and befriended the director, who was impressed enough by Cassidy's work to send her a script and an invitation to come to LA.
Within 3 months of arriving in LA, she landed the part of Ari Gold's (Jeremy Piven) daughter on HBO's Entourage, giving her family reason to split their lives and lifestyles between organic rural Colorado and sunny but urban southern California. That was over 2 years ago and since then she has been recurring on both Entourage and Gilmore Girls, appeared on Everybody Hates Chris, and has been widely seen in commercials.
She also holds the distinction of having been the youngest regular reporter for her hometown newspaper for 3 years, having had a radio show on the largest public radio station serving western Colorado, and being a glass bead artist. She has been home-schooled most of her life, spent a year and a half traveling with her family in an RV, and has a sister who is a burgeoning photographer.
